A Few Things I Have Learned From My Pug
By Shawn T. Kiley

- My Pug springs from slumber every day, excited and full of joy. He doesnt need a cup of coffee or any sort of time frame before hes ready to face the day.
- My Pug is the most compassionate living thing I know. He always knows when Im upset or troubled and he always comes to me to see if I need a little extra love.
- My pug has never hurt another living thing. It doesnt matter how much the cat bats at him or the big mean dog down the street barks at him. He just keeps his little tail curly and walks right by as if hes on a mission.
- My Pug always wants to be in on whats going on. Hell follow me from room to room just to see if something new is happening.
- My Pug knows his limits. If hes tired, he lays down and takes a nap.
- My Pug needs few things in life: Food; water; an occasional treat; exercise; play and love. These things make him happy.
- My Pug gives everyone the chance to make a great first impression. Hes always happy to see a new face and is anxious to get to know them.
- My Pug is loyal to a fault. When I leave the house, he sits by the window and waits until I return. Then he greets me with an enthusiasm and exuberance that is unmatched. If only the rest of the world could see me in the same way as My Pug.
